Designed in collaboration with our industry partners, La Trobe University’s Master of Cybersecurity (Law) is geared to keep pace with the information security demands of business, government, defence, law enforcement and industry, especially in managing governance, risk and compliance in enterprises. Students undertake foundation subjects to develop industry-relevant multidisciplinary skills, before emarking on a specialisation in Law. These subjects will cover, fundamentals of cybersecurity, core knowledge in communication networks, crisis communication, the mind-set and motives of hackers, auditing and risk mitigation, as well as legal and ethical frameworks. The Master of Cybersecurity (Law) provides a pathway for existing counsel, advisory, business information technology professionals seeking to commence or further progress their careers in the cybersecurity domain. The course is two years full-time or equivalent part-time duration and requires the completion of 240 credit points.
