Course Description

Many staff enter the university sector without a formal qualification in education. The Graduate Certificate in Higher Education provides staff with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to teach in a range of learning environments to facilitate student learning experiences and outcomes.
Participants of the program will deepen their current understanding of scholarly approaches to teaching, learning, curriculum design and assessment. Using an evidence-based approach the program introduces methods for researching and critically reflecting on teaching practices.
Graduates will be well placed to contribute to the scholarship of learning and teaching in their school, institution and discipline.
