About this course

This articulated program is aimed at students with an interest in cultural heritage management, especially in the specialist areas of archaeology, cultural heritage consultancy, heritage tourism, interpretation and visitor management. It aims to provide students with an increased level of theoretical knowledge, research skills and practical skills necessary for understanding complex issues in cultural heritage management. The Graduate Diploma and Masters programs include the opportunity to acquire extensive practical skills in archaeological field practice, a detailed understanding of heritage related legislation in Australia, and experience with project management. Masters' students will also develop and implement the skills associated with successfully planning and conducting an industry-based cultural heritage management research project.
