In this course you'll analyse taxation principles in depth, and gain specialised knowledge in Australian and international taxation, superannuation and retirement planning.

You'll develop a solid understanding of capital gains tax, trusts, Goods and Services Tax and indirect taxes, estate planning, advanced taxation, international tax and other contemporary taxation topics.

You'll benefit from the course's strong industry links as you learn from tax professionals, practical assignments and case studies, and gain exposure to industry networking opportunities.

Curtin's on-campus tax clinic offers you unique hands-on and practical work experience providing tax advice to the public and businesses.

You'll also get to participate in field trips and national and international study tours.

The Master of Taxation comprises two levels. You can choose to exit the degree early with a Graduate Certificate in Taxation Practice after completing four units (100 credits).

The Graduate Certificate in Taxation Practice nests in to the Master of Taxation. If you don't meet the entry requirements for the Master of Taxation, you may like to consider the Graduate Certificate as a pathway.
