About this course

In this course you will explore creative, constructive transitions to sustainability. You will analyse policies and practices to address the complexities of the new global sustainable development goals that aim to support people, planet, prosperity and peace. You will explore the basic issues, concepts and methodologies central to sustainability and have the opportunity to pursue studies in a particular area of need and priority through optional units. Curtin’s sustainability program has a strong emphasis on professional practice. You will apply your skills and knowledge to real-life issues through professional work and community engagement. Individual projects provide opportunities for you to research real-world issues. The course caters for both full-time and part-time students and is offered in traditional and non-traditional study modes, including regular scheduled classes and intensive programs offered over a one-week period. Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, you may transfer to the graduate diploma and then subsequently enrol in the master degree.    Please refer to the handbook for additional course overview information.
