The Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Environments and Planning provides an opportunity for studies in the areas of Environmental Management and/or Urban Design and Planning. Both areas of study are increasing in their importance worldwide due to global population growth, increasing urbanisation and significant environmental challenges. This degree provides the opportunity to gain some of the professional skills required for work in a variety of natural and built environment fields involved in creating sustainable environments. With this qualification, graduates will be able to undertake work relating to urban planning and environmental management or progress onto further studies within the same discipline.
The Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Environments and Planning will provide you with access to a wide range of career pathways in the natural and built environments. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and practical experience required to be sustainability professionals in business, industry, government, consulting firms and non government organisations.
Graduates can progress into a wide range of careers in mining and energy, fisheries and agriculture, tourism, property, community infrastructure, city and regional planning, development assessment, transportation, strategic or social planning or urban design.
Graduates of this program will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge of sustainable environments, and will be able to seek work anywhere in Australia or around the world.

Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students.
