About this course

Our online Psychology Master's Degree at Arden University will equip you with the knowledge and understanding of core areas of Psychology, and will prepare you to make ethical and evidence-based decisions in the field.

You will cover a range of fascinating modules - everything from how our brain influences our perception of the world to childhood development & behavioural neuroscience.

Arden's Distance Learning programme means you'll study completely online, meaning you can continue to work while you learn and you can access everything from your course materials to tutorials and tutor support online from wherever you are.

Entry requirements

A bachelor's degree or diploma equivalent to a UK honours degree at a minimum of second class (2.2). If you are not an English native speaker, you will be required to provide us with a proof of English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above  


Assessments at Arden are designed to provide you an opportunity to demonstrate your strengths in a number of ways and so a variety of methods are used, these could include:

  • Journal Article Reviews
  • Portfolio
  • Research Proposal
  • Dissertation

To support your development and ensure you are on the right track with your studies we will provide you with tutor feedback on every assessment you submit.

If required, your Arden tutor may be able to give you suggestions and tips for improvement and help you understand how to apply your newly acquired skills into real life settings.

Please note: These fees are for students starting in July 2019. For new applicants starting from October 2019, fees will increase by £1,000. 

Pay in Full

You can pay for your Arden University course all in one go if you have the funds. There is typically up to 10% off the total price if you pay this way.


You can make payments over the course of their studies using our fixed payment schedule. Students will be entered into a schedule which runs alongside their course and splits their programme fees into a series of instalments.

What you will learn

Studied through online Distance Learning, this Psychology Master's Degree course is all about learning the foundations of Psychology, focussing on the practical application of evidence-based decisions in the field – this isn’t a course for armchair psychologists!

You will learn to design experiments to gather and analyse data, and explore everything from how our brain influences our perception of the world, to social interaction, abnormal psychology, approaches to intelligence testing and possible therapies, childhood development and even behavioural neuroscience.
