Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Environmental Engineering, students must hold:
a three year bachelor degree in Engineering from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing)
OR a bachelor degree or bachelor Honours degree in an environment-related field from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with at least two years full-time equivalent relevant work experience
OR a four year bachelor degree or bachelor Honours degree in Engineering from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) and these students will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the program.

This course deals with the broad aspects of environmental management relevant to practising professionals in engineering science, planning, architecture, law, surveying, health and building.
Provides an opportunity for practicing engineers and technologists to update and broaden their discipline skills to adapt to new requirements for professional practice.

Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline; or
Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience.
English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0);
Bachelor degree from a country specified on the English Proficiency Bands page;
Successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience; or
Other tests, courses or programs defined on the English Proficiency Bands page.

an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or
an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience, or
the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma in Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).
