    Entry Requirements

    Entrants to the degree of Bachelor of Agriculture with Honours will have qualified for admission to the BAgr or an appropriate Bachelor degree in Science or equivalent at an approved tertiary institution. Candidates would normally be expected to obtain at least a credit average in their final year undergraduate units.

    Candidature will be subject to appropriate supervision being available for the thesis topic approved by the School and subject to satisfying the prerequisites required for the chosen field of study.

    Admission to Honours courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, meet any prerequisite subjects and the English language requirements to be eligible for an offer. Admission is conditional on research project and supervisor availability.

    English Language Requirements

    For students who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, evidence of an approved English language test completed within the last 2 years must be provided.     • Holds a Bachelor degree in a cognate field that includes Exercise and Sports Science units as required for ESSA Exercise Science level accreditation
    • Requires evidence that they qualify for credentialing with ESSA at Exercise Science level to be assessed by the Course Coordinator.
    • Entry will occur in either the third or fourth year of the program.
    Special Consideration

    If your ability to access or participate in education has been affected by circumstances beyond your control, you can apply for special consideration as part of your application. We will consider a range of factors for special consideration, including economic hardship, a serious medical condition or disability.

    We can only approve applications for special consideration where we are confident that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in your studies.
